I'm sorry to say I never had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Martinez...I'm a very old friend of Heith's as well as meeting Gene and Rachel about 25 years ago...i did a google search for heith on a whim and happened across this obit..just wanted to express my Condolences and let you know my heart goes out to you.

Although I did not know Vera, I wanted to take a moment to extend my sympathy. So many have experienced the pain of losing a loved one. My mother in law passed away 3 years ago from cancer. It's painful to see what they have to go through. I am writing to share a few words that have brought me comfort and helped me to get through the pain. Psalm 56:8 says God sees and cares about the pain we feel. He collects all our tear and preserves them in his bottle and records everyone in his book. He promises to soon wipe away all the tears from our eyes and death will be no more. (Revelation 21:4) With the gift of your memories of Vera, may that bring you great joy as you look forward to seeing her again in the promised resurrection by Jesus Christ. (John 5:28,29) It is my wish you will find cofmort and hope from these thoughts in the Bible.
