William Etchemendy

Biography


Bill Etch Etchemendy, 58 of Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico, died peacefully in his home on February 3, 2011. Bill was born in Elko, Nevada on November 21, 1952. He received his Bachelors degree from University of Nevada Reno. Bill moved to Taos, NM in 1983 to become the Mountain Manager of Taos Ski Valley, where he worked for the rest of his life. This job and Taos Ski Valley was Bills heart and soul. His wisdom, passion for his work, playful loving wit, soul and light will echo through our community and hearts forever. He is preceded in death by his parents Peggy and Henry Etchemendy and is survived by his brother Arnold (wife Kathy), brother Larry, cousin Milo and his only son Cory (wife Taylor).

The funeral service will be held in Taos Ski Valley at the burrows on February 12, 2010 at 11:00 am. Reception at the Martini Tree Restaurant will follow the services. For more information please contact Adriana Blake at 575-776-2291 ext. 1236.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested charitable contributions to be made to Golden Willow Retreat; in appreciation for the help and support they have given to the family and our community.
